Alex Murdoch

I am a multi-disciplinary artist working across performance, writing and ceramics.  I’ve toured nationally and internationally over 20 years and I’ve worked with LIFT, the Barbican, Young Vic, RSC, BBC, British Council and the Kennedy Center.  I’m currently studying on MA Fine Art : Digital at Central Saint Martins and charting my process right here.

Informed by my performance background my ceramic work explores the politics of relationship, taking the human form as a starting point. I make meaning by choreographing my ensemble pieces, curating how the different figures own or submit to the space – creating a fluid conversation about power and vulnerability.
